- Test the doors opener’s safety reversal feature by placing an object flat on the ground in the center of the garage door. Push the control button and watch to see if it reverses upon contact.
- Clean the garage door annuallly and spray silicone to lubricate hinges and rollers.
- Inspect all of the hardware (including springs, cables, and pulleys) for signs of wear
- Adjust off-balance doors and tighten all nuts and bolts
